Mesh Stream Help
Visualize streams on a vector mesh.
Available Parameters
-
Style : Choose a type of visulization. Possible values are :
-
Line : Draw streamlines as lines.
-
Line and Particule : Draw streamlines as lines, with a motion of color on the
lines that simulates a animation of particles.
-
Tadpole : Animation of tadpole particles along streamlines.
-
Point : Animation of point particles along streamlines.
-
Sphere : Animation of sphere particles along streamlines.
-
Surface : Build surfaces which represent stream-surfaces,
connecting several streamlines.
Streamlines are visualized from a start point until they run out of the mesh
domain. Those source points are movable with a dragger.
-
Visible : Show or hide the streamlines source points dragger.
-
Orientation : Choose the main axis of the dragger.
-
Reset Size : Since dragger size can be directly modified while manipulating the
dragger, it can be useful to reset this in one click.
The following parameters affect the source points zone and its density.
-
Shape type : Select a geometrical form for the source domain. Possible values
can be :
-
Circle : start points are placed on a circle.
-
Line : start points are placed along a segment.
-
Box : start points are placed in a 3D box.
-
Shape size : a size factor for the source domain.
-
Start points number : Change source points density.
Then, some parameters only refer to some of the visualization styles. Indeed,
particule animations have quite specific parameters :
-

With animation controls, you can pause the animation, launch it again or play
it step by step.
-
Random start : prevents each first position of the different streamlines to
start simultaneously.
-
Particule time step : Time step between 2 consecutive points of a streamline.
-
Tadpole length : Length factor applied to the tadpoles velocity. [only in
Tadpole style]
-
Sphere radius : Defines the radius of each sphere drawn. [only in Sphere style]
